Course Syllabus

A. Description
This course is designed to improve spoken English with an emphasis on practical everyday scenarios and vocabulary. It will focus on the speaking aspects of English.
B. Organization
This is a speaking course in which topics are presented by the instructor. There will be group activities that involve the whole class, “partner” activities, as well as individual projects that focus on business/oral presentations. The class marks will be a combination of a final exam, oral presentation, as well as overall class participation.
C. Course Objectives
To improve one’s conversational English in a natural manner of speaking.
To be able to give an oral/business presentation.
To feel comfortable and confident in their ability to speak and understand English.
To increase their vocabulary.
D. Entry Requirements
Speaking Skills 1 - aimed at Pre-intermediate and Intermediate Students
Speaking Skills 2 - aimed at Upper-intermediate and Advanced Students
